ANNIE
With a heart full of hope and a voice that won’t quit, Annie lights up the stage with laughter, courage, and unforgettable songs. In the depths of the Great Depression, a spirited young orphan sets out to find the parents who left her behind, armed only with her optimism and her scrappy dog, Sandy. Along the way, she melts the heart of billionaire Oliver Warbucks and finds a new kind of family—one built on love rather than luck. But not everyone wishes her well, and a scheming duo threatens to shatter her dreams. Still, Annie’s unwavering belief that “the sun’ll come out tomorrow” just might be the key to changing everything.
Will Annie finally discover where she truly belongs?
And in the face of hardship, can a little hope really go a long way?
Leading the cast are operatic bass-baritone Branch Fields as the commanding yet tenderhearted Oliver Warbucks, and the charming Sophia Volpe as Annie, bringing warmth and wit to every note. The visual world of the production comes to life with the return of Richard Sprecker’s evocative lighting and Natalie Hining’s imaginative scenic design, capturing both the grit of Depression-era New York and the grandeur of Warbucks’ mansion. Making her Festival debut, Allison Winsby adds flair and period style with her delightful costume designs. With this exceptional creative team and a cast full of heart, Annie promises a joyful, moving experience for the whole family.
